MLB Best Hitters 2023

Here are the best hitters of 2023. With the DH being universal, there are not as many good hitters as there were a few years ago.
All 27 of the 2023 SF Giants Blown Saves

Do not comment if you don't know what a blown save is. If you violated this rule, immediately apologize. In response to this video, Farhan will probably strikeout on the big free agents, give opt-outs to C-listers, and then think about whether he should be firing the manager.
Home runs hit off "sweepers"
Переглядів 2,6 тис.Рік тому
Sweepers supposedly have the horizontal movement of a slider but without as much drop. But I see a lot of drop on a lot of these pitches. Some look like curveballs! I wish the players would just stick to real pitches.

He struck out Julio Rodríguez and yet people still pretended he wasn't good. You would think a champion* and a closer would get more respect than this.

Rob Drake Highlights

Given Rob Drake's history of making violent threats, I'm taking a big risk uploading this video. It is absolutely insane to me that MLB saw him have that horrible game in San Francisco (Padres-Giants) and then immediately put him on a playoff series. You would think calling some of those pitches strikes would be disqualifying.

I'll get slammed for this, but I don't care. He would be in the HoF if he wasn't the biggest as*hole ever. The media hated him from Day 1, and the steroids obviously didn't help.
I was at the game when Livan Soto hit his first homerun and it was when I left the stadium🤣
Slugger supreme
Do you know what date the catch at 1:59 is? I can tell its dodgers at phillies but I can not find this clip anywhere
I found it, in case anyone wants it. It's R Martin fouling out to Ryan Howard, on August 24th 2008.
I think the big takeaway is Brian Butterfield must be betting the unders
who's coming in an instance of time?
Kinda ruined by the banging of garbage cans
5:08 you caaaan
Man should be Fox’s #1 guy
Good ole Hawk. Dad gum feller wuz hell on wheels. Not a real nice guy, but loved hearing him call our Sox games.
0:26 waaaalk salami
i do not remember him hitting THAT many baters lmao
2:19 I was there
Wasnt too terrible at first considering he rarely played the field. And didnt have any real reason to improve his defense. Certainly not as bad as someone like Prince Fielder at first.
If this video was updated, that Astros at Mariners ALDS game in Seattle in 2022 would be in this package. After 17 scoreless innings (yep...), Houston won that one 1-0 in 18 innings. Regular season games nowadays have a runner on 2nd base in regular season Extra Inning games. Though, some still do play some pretty long games.
2:21 I never noticed that Manny caught that relay barehanded
PLEASE do more of these oddly-specific compilations the more obscure the better "switch-hitting corner infielders hitting into fielder's choices"
Tim mcarver in just a second
1:57 Should've been safe. Because, the catcher was blocking the lane without the ball, causing mercado to completely miss the base and should be an obstruction
9:42 Pink Floyd
Does anyone know about the background music playing on 38:26? It's such a cool techno tune if you asked me Edit: I'll be putting all timestamps where the tune appears in case anyone would like to help me 38:26 39:07 39:15 40:46 43:39 44:54 45:45 46:25 46:33 49:06 50:12 54:24 55:58 56:04 58:42 1:02:01 1:06:25 1:07:23 1:07:33 1:09:57 1:10:09
He fields routine grounders with what appears to be limited confidence, and there is nothing wrong with that.
It’s okay he’s back to his old self now in Seattle, meanwhile your team the Giants continue to do poorly lmao. Skill issue, Mitch is the goat
He hits it high ,..he hits it deep,it is outa here .....goosebumps😮..love to hear that in a cricket match commentary here in England .Classic call 😊
His on air orgasm over Aaron Judge's home run at Fenway in August of 2020 was disgraceful. I took great pleasure in the Sox shoving it up his rectum a year later in the wild card game.
One of the goats. Should get the WS with Joe Davis. Would be insanity
2:53 that might be the worst throw in from outfield in the history of baseball
2:13 that guy is dead
His swing is literally the same from then till his giant days. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Eat shit, Hawk
Just saw Burch Smith somehow pitching for the Marlins in 2024 and I immediately thought of this video
I love Burch!
I got a chuckle out of this
22:21 is quite possibly the prettiest, purest swing EVER
0:22
Both Lanny frattare and Jim Rooker made outstanding calls to Barry bonds
😂
I’m not 100% sure about this , but the marlins had a 2B who hit moonshots , and his name began with “ Dan uggla “ and ended with “ uggla “ .
5:07 You can put it on the board yes yes
Who was pitching in the first clip. Him yelling “SHIT” is so funny to me lol
0:30 The Umpire Wants end The game 😂😂
The whole first part of this video is A "home runs off Shohei Ohtani compilation" lol
Hawk is and was a crybaby Homer These are pure joy
Homered in spring training today 🔥
Poetry in motion
How can such a big dude be so damn agile?
Another great video, Andrew.
Thank you, Andrew Vargha for putting this together. Great clip. I just celebrated my class being cancelled with a Fernando Rodney signature arrow! Rodney to the HALL!!
Dayum…his bat speed looks to be down. He seems to be standing more up on the down swing which leads to weak ground balls. Im thinking he switched bat length and bat weight. Hope he makes some corrections for 2024
They can't all be winners but yikes dude. No wonder he got shipped back to Seattle so quickly.
I like Joe Davis but what would've happened if Eric Collins was had taken over after Vin Scully retired or if Eric Collins was the dodgers radio announcer?
